Lisa’sexperience within the Montessori environment came in August 2016, when sheworked in the Toddler community as a Teacher’s Assistant. Her responsibilitieswere to support the toddler group in all their work, care for the environmentand prepare activities to support their development. Although she wasn’tworking actively in the Montessori environment for some time, the principlesstayed with her when she worked in various kindergartens as an English Teacher,preparing activities for the children in a fast-paced environment, ensuringthat all children had a chance to learn and grow. She was the Head Teacher of alanguage agency for five years, where she offered support for teachers,students, and parents as the need arose. She was in charge of coordinatingsummer camps and creating lesson plans on a regukar basis, ensuring that thedatabase was consistently up to date with new materials. She organised amultitude of workshops for teachers, giving support and advice for teachingpractices and methodologies of the English teacher. She also taught a varietyof students individually, in groups, and within schools and companies,throughout her time there. Most recently, Lisa has been working within OpenGate school, where she was the English Teacher for the 4th Class. She preparedmaterials for lessons that complemented the curriculum, never forgetting toensure that each lesson had a purpose for the child and giving the childguidance as needed.
